...with Sven having his two pennyworth on Sky Sports.

    http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,12016_7225140,00.html

He does make a good point in that having been in the country for 15 years, should Wenger still be considered "foreign"?

Many cricket players who marry an English girl qualify as "English" or at least dual passport holders after 4 years, I believe - it may be less.

2012 is too soon for a certain Scottish manager who plies his trade in the county of Norfolk, but maybe in three or four years time......??

Do you know what, if we did go for a non-english manager, I would love to have Lambert, he is bright, very good at man-management and tactically 99% spot on.

If we are looking at English, only one person it can be and thats Harry Redknapp.

Lambert is young and purpose built for daily man-management. I think he loves the club scene far too much to contemplate England just yet. Harry gets my vote but wenger would be an interesting choice and not one I would turn my nose up at, I think he'd do an alright job and he certainly knows the English game, he'd also give youth a fair shot and we can finally get rid of the "golden generation" ala fat Frank and get in wellbeck, sturridge and most importantly John ruddy.

He was the only person since Bobby Robson to get England playing as a team.

it'll happen at somepoint SN. I'm not too worried, if McNally is still the Chief Exec at that time, i have confidence he'd get a decent replacement in.

If we are a prem team when lambert eventually leaves theres only one man i would like to replace him and i know that mcnally is good friends with him aswell, and thats if hes still out of work<ok>

As for the england job, i want the best man for the job BUT i would certainly prefer an englishman, redknapp definetly but im going to stick my head out and say beckham!!

Well I for one think that we should give a certain twitching Cockney Villain a wide berth. Besides, by the time the Euro's are finished he'll probably be plying his trade a chief coach to the Parkhurst 1st eleven ! ;) ..............<party>
