Gotta love Ralph, the momentum we have got could carry us a long way this season, good times..:1980_boogie_down:

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, speaking to BBC Sport: "It was another very good game against an opponent who never gives up. We struggle in the past against teams that deep defend but now we have more solutions, patience and quality on the ball. It is about believing in the time we get to score. The times we scored were perfect. It is not easy to play against a team that have nothing to lose at 2-0. In front of our fans it is a different experience to take away. It was emotional. It is so nice to have them back. You can feel how much they enjoy watching us. We wanted to show how much we have learned during their time away. We have made some big developments.

Every part of our game has improved - with and without the ball. We try to look at every part of our game. We have built something here. They all know exactly what they need to do. It is a new identity for this club and one we want to push.

"Now we need everyone because we have so many games. We play intense but I think that is what people want to see."

Bit of a weird one. We were incredibly dominant, very comfortable and fully deserved the three goal win. And yet I struggle to give any 9s or 10s out of 10. Just an all-round solid performance, with 7s and 8s throughout - headed, once again by Vestergaard. Except for McCarthy of course - you can't give a rating to someone who wasn't required to do anything.

Wednesday is the big one for me. We've yet to take down any of the big six this season. This is a golden chance.

Southampton

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, speaking to Sky Sports: “We only had one shot from our opponents on our goal, three beside the goal, so we were definitely in a very good shape. For every issue we had an answer. We had very good decisions with the ball and against the ball. We were very calm in possession.

“It’s wonderful in front of our fans. It’s great to have them back. I was definitely emotional with a few tears in my eyes. It’s only 2,000 but you could feel how much they enjoyed watching us. We gave them what we feel they should see from us. It really was the perfect Sunday. It was fantastic.

“As you can see in our game, it’s not so interesting for us who scores. We bring as many players into areas where we can score. We really want to cause teams issues around the box.

“When you see us playing, it’s not a coincidence that we’re up in the table. Every part of our game has had a massive development. It’s not so easy to keep a lid on us when we can create chances.

“We’re getting better and better. The players are really eager to learn and keen to develop their game and it’s nice to watch.”

Vestergaard gets a 9 for me. He was superb on the ball and dominated at the back.

Great result. Can’t believe after 12 games we are 3 points behind the top spot. Europe a real possibility.

As a side issue, weren’t our fans a bit close together. I know some groups can sit together, but still looked strange compared to how spaced out fans are at other clubs.
