I'd agree, I think you are right it's a language miscommunication, where languages use various forms of the N word (I assume from Latin) to describe the colour black.

The Assistant has gone to the first official "it's the black guy," obviously they speak the same language and "black guy" sounds like negro as it does in a whole ****ing lot of languages.
The assistant, already about to receive a red card by the looks, goes ballistic, barely being able to actually speak English and starts screaming at the assistant.
Demba Ba in that clip is being explained that the referee referred to him as "the black guy" and is then arguing that "well, white people aren't referred to as white guys" which is a complete lie and he's trying to save face.
Demba Ba to be knight by Queen Liz in two months time for his defence of the minorities.
