Wait, so describing a black guy as "black" is racist now?!

Indeed it could be... if it was one of the White players in the same scenario and the perpetrator wouldn't have said "the white guy" in that situation, then race is being used as a negative determinator ... why not the 'big guy' or the 'loud guy' or 'the guy in the anorak' ? ...
 
Is there any footage of the actual incident.. If he's said something like " this black guy here" that's kinda bad... Seems something might be init for the players to walk off..

Yeah I'm waiting for more info before passing any real judgement. The coach seemed genuinely furious so reckon there could be more to it than a simple description

Just seems odd.. I mean if he was pointing him out from a distance and in a crowd of white guys then it might just be been the easiest way to point out the player, but if he was right in front saying " this black idiot here" that's quite different

I don’t think I’d be offended if I was called ‘the white guy’ if I was surrounded by black guys.
Agree with Libby though. Need more info before I can really judge.
