BUT LiVARpool supporters are arrogant f******s and in the eighties in the proper top flight LiVARpool got more penalties against us from Rush diving than the rest of the First Division put together (same thing probably happened to most teams then) you were a bunch of cheating **** then and nothing has changed

Everton were the best team at that time. They would have had a great chance of winning it.
Is right. We were widely regarded as the best team in Europe in ‘85, having won the league and CWC.

The classless, shameless ****s even produced this;

Everton are the real club on Merseyside. Half of the RS support live outside of Liverpool. Plastic glory hunters.

Only Liverpool residing STH’s can get tickets via ballot for the small allocations at the minute. The numbers who quality are as follows;

Red ****e - 6,000

Everton - 25,000

The People’s Club <ok>

Really? Didn't it stop Everton from going into the CL?

No, it stopped them going into the European Cup, which most believe (me included) they were favourites to win (certainly in 85/86) as they'd just come off the back of winning the old Cup Winners Cup. Shameful. Do have to add though, not that it lessons Liverpool's guilt one iota, it was the government of the time that made the FA unilaterally withdraw English clubs from European club contest - UEFA had only confirmed that they - rightly - wanted Liverpool banned at the time.

Er, Liverpool won the double the next season, beating Everton in the FA Cup final. Not arguing Everton would have probably won the EC, but the ban didn't stop then domestically as well.

In those days only Maggie was allowed to swing her handbag around in Europe

Newcastle are a big club, just fallen on hard times
So are Sunderland

Big clubs of the past yes, but the game changed and moved on in unhelpful ways for both.

As things stand both clubs have a rich history, a good support, but I couldnt describe them as being big anymore..

Potential in both... Sleeping giants perhaps, but I don't think either will be woke up anytime soon...

They tried to wake one in the summer, but they knew not to let that happen...
