No. It is South African tradition that the family all get together and have a birthday breakfast. However, as her family are not over her she is having a champagne breakfast with some friends (me included).
 
yeah maybe. We shall see what happens. I just want to be there for her at her birthday. Like i say in SA the 21st is the big birthday and she would spend it with her grandma. However, her grandma died a year ago and she really misses her. She will need a shoulder to cry on.

aw, that's very sad...i'm sure you'll help her enjoy her birthday though :)...when is it?
 
Thank you. She is very special to me. We have pretty much grown up together having known each other for 13yrs.

I had better get to sleep now, i have plenty to be doing tomorrow. Night night sleep tight, dont let the bed bugs bite. :)

Morning all....

A month away and I feel less connected with not606 than ever I am afraid. Maybe it has lost it's attraction for me ...

But I wonder if someone could possibly do some analysis of postings? Is it due to the format if you dont post and read very regularly you cant follow the speed of conversations and therefore influence where they go? You end up therefore posting less. Whereas for others it has become something much more immediate.

It seems to me that a few people post very regularly... and all over the threads... and others less.

You cant even get a decent drink in here these days ;)
 
Morning All, Early morning mists season has arrived. Once the sun gets out of bed it brightens up, but the start of the past two days has been grey.

Yorkie I will think on your question, but have a feeling that the answers could be quite complex. One thing that does spring to mind is that the old site used to have a closing time. With a few night owls on here you can get several pages of chatter to come down to in the morning. Also of course there is not the three minute rule to slow things down.

Welcome back Yorkie. Hopefully you'll get back into the swing of things now you're back. In answer to your question, I think M Frenchie has it right. Some are around more during the day and some later. Without closing time, that makes us a 24 hour board virtually. That and the ability to talk faster means that more happens during the day...and night.
