BBC Swiss tax-dodging Stevenage slum surviving BLM Personality of the Year 2020:
(surely some mistake? Ed.)

Five also-rans and winner Lewis Hamilton on short-list...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/sports-personality/55101008

All six (to be fair) have done great things in Sport this past year.
But nobody's even heard of Hollie Doyle, and a fair number of people probably thought Rocket Ronnie was dead.
Just save the licence payers a few quid and give it to LH right now.
I will vote for TYson Fury, as the only one with any chance of beating Hamilton. TBF if Monaco has a SPOTY Hamilton should win it.

He's won it already, we all know that.

I've got nothing against LH's sporting achievement.
It could even be arguably the best of the lot this year - though comparing different sports is always tricky.
But Hamilton is going to be awarded the prize for PC / Woke reasons, not sporting ones.
Which makes a farce of the whole thing.

Not for the first time, of course.
I gave up on SPOTY the year Zara Phillips won it (for royal brown-nosing reasons).

I bet the little twat will go down on one knee (not a reference to Heather Mills) when he is presented with his award.

The Reith Lectures are on Radio 4 just now, always worth a listen. Mark Carney this year.

The Repair Shop was first recommended to me by AHLL, it is an excellent program, and I recommend it to everybody, although it clashes with the match tonight.
