As I've documented elsewhere on here, I'm going through a bit of turmoil at the moment, but I've been genuinely moved and uplifted by the kind thoughts and good wishes from people on this forum, most of whom I've never met. This is a very fine, caring little community, notwithstanding the differences we may have over politics, religion, team selections or formations. There have been instances in the past of people who have opened up on here about personal problems, and this can be a quite difficult step to take, so hopefully this thread might provide a place for people to air their problems and get some support and advice. Thanks again.
In my experience it's always the people who've known a disproportionate amount of suffering in their own lives who tend to be the most empathetic and supportive. And we all support QPR, so...
Genuinely laughed out loud at that one. Glad you found all the comments uplifting Stroller. Good to be able to encourage one another.
Thank you for setting this up Stroller. All my thoughts are with you. We all joke about following this silly little football club and its stupid little ways, but I am so glad we all do because you lot have shown time and time again what a nice and caring lot you are...
Thanks for this Stroller,I know I benefited from the thoughts & good wishes of many on here with my cancer, it was the boost I needed at a difficult time,my thoughts are with you and hope that the outlook for yourself is positive,if there is one thing I could ask of all the over 50s on here is ask for a PSA bloodtest, you just never know.
All good Stroller. There seems to be so many geriatrics on here, our knowledge and experience of being such a bunch of crocks may prove helpful in diagnosing medical issues in the name of science. l’m all for natural medicine & therapy’s and my intravenously feed gin is testimony to that line of thought. Take care buddy and remember, Dr Didley is available online 24/7 ...... Phone 1800SQUATCARE, now! All credit cards are welcome. Footnote - If my silliness brings a smile on your face, l have achieved everything and more.
That’s a moving article stroller & agree with all of it, we are a little community & voice our views in a nice & sincere ways to people like yourself & others who going tough times with health problems, yes we have heated debates more so on politics & I’m glad I have no interest in the subject, take care stroller & Peter & others
Thanks. Yes, it did go pretty well (I think). It seems I was given (or got) the wrong end of the stick on my phone call from the clinical nurse. The surgery that they recommend would be keyhole and wouldn't entail having a stoma afterwards, which will make a big difference to my decision. Rollercoaster or what?
That sounds like a great outcome, a ‘just to be safe’ op with no longer term after effects then regular check ups.....neat. I don’t usually drink Monday - Thursday but I might have a celebratory glass of red this evening. Cheers.
Great news Stroller, I don't envy you even undergoing keyhole surgery can be uncomfortable. Second bit of good news today....... what's the first I hear you ask? ............. victory tonight for the Superhoops!!
So the opposite side of the (keyhole surgery story) story. I had keyhole surgery to remove my gall bladder/stones, 4 incisions. They let me out after 18 hours (one night in hospital). I was told to take it easy but I was walking about in another day and back at work in 4 days. No dicomfort, no pain. Absolutely perfect. I hope that you have the same result. It sounds much better news Stroller. I hope you enjoyed the wine, obvious you didnt enjoy the match
They told me 4 or 5 days in hospital, but I can't see that. I'll want to be out next day. Before that though, I have to get a tat! They want to tattoo my colon so that they can go to the right spot when the time comes.
Just caught up with this, great news indeed Stroller, must be a weight off your mind. Trust the Hoops to put a dampener on it...
Great news Stroller and must be an enormous relief. You deserved that drink. Couldn’t be more pleased for you and everyone close to you who would have worried for you too. Shame about the footie result though!
