Rightly bemoan the likes of hairline offside calls, or the Soton/Toon penalties given against Spurs, but reading the match report it seems all three decisions today were correct and non-controversial. *** *** subject to seeing all the incidents for myself
The two offsides were clear. The scouse commentator argued against the Brighton penalty was the referee not seeing Welbeck getting kicked was not a clear and obvious error. Have a look, if a striker is kicked in such a manner it stops him challenging for the ball, then in my book that is a penalty.
Hopefully the Mousers operate a stacking system (which means Spurs supporters have now heard last of it) .
Someone should tell Burnley they are playing Spurs today! Against us,they fight to the death! v City....WE SURRENDER!!!!
Doubtful, it was a bit 'Hand of God' on Merseyside. The scouse journos will include it in Lamelas obituary.
Slow down Citeh, I predicted 6-0 in the Prediction League, It's already 5-0 after 68 minutes. VAR saves Burnley for a 6th, 76 minutes. Correctly. 5-0 finish, fekking post.
They’ve done this before, lose a game then come back the following match all guns blazing. Sorry Burnley
So everyone here who is delighted with the penalty awarded for the 'foul' on Welbeck would be in complete agreement if that was given for the same challenge by Aurier on Werner tomorrow? Because I would be fuming, its as soft as soft can be and if that is a clear and obvious error by the ref then I am a dutchman. The offsides fair enough under the current ridiculous VAR version of offside they are technically correct personally I hate any goal being chalked for an offside that cannot be seen by the naked eye but I have made that clear on numerous occasions.
