The lights were upgraded because of City being in the PL and the demands of broadcasters.
If it was left to RL, we would have clusters of 60w bulbs on repurposed North Ferriby pylons.

I heard fc wouldn't even pay for the big screen to be switched on the last time they played at home. ( someone has to be there to operate it)
That doesn't surprise me - in the unlikely event a Hull club reached the final and it was played in Hull, there would still be loads of 'Old Faithful' in their XXXL replica shirts in Parkers preferring to watch for nowt rather than pay to go in.
