no, the contact with the ball was enough, and the touch on the ankle didn't impede Trezeguet getting the ball, diving on the floor did.

There's been plenty of pens given already this season where the contact on the ball was deemed insufficient. In this instance the attacker played the ball against the defender by cutting inside and the defenders challenge fouled him.

No need to take it personally as I'm sure you've been wrong before.

Only the contact on the ball caused it deflect up and bounce off the forwards shins, the minimal contact was secondary to an honest challenge.

As confirmed by the officials.
