Think of it this way.
If you’re right and Mikey is just seeking compensation then you’ll still be seriously disappointed and won’t have had any “hope” to enjoy thinking about what might be.
If we are right then your enjoyment will not exceed our enjoyment when the takeover happens.
If you’re wrong we will all have been wishing and dreaming longer than you.
If we are wrong we will still have had some period of hope whilst you will have had none.
The moral being that you should enjoy it while you can as if it doesn’t happen you’ll not get another chance of being insanely hopeful for a long, long time.
