I have heard that these guys, if true know and could attract many other billionaires from Europe and middle east. I believe fuhrman is still going to be involved - they want some empire but want to shine an old penny. It's a game to them and they want to win.....could be the start of a mega coaster ride.
I read something that he tweeted in the summer something along the lines of 'stay safe' but he was in the middle east and the story went on that Marseilles fans went into overdrive that he was bringing some Arab money into the club....Marseilles fans sound a bit like us in that matter, looking for any grain of a link to a rich investor.....of course if this was the case about an Arab investor his tweet might just have been directed to a different club
Best decision Ellis short ever made...in a world of sports documentaries focusing on giant shiny functioning clubs, outs showed suffering, something all people experience. I would imagine globally people seeing that then you tubed safc and saw games and goals vs the mags etc, stadium going mental and thought wow, imagine I brought this back to them...the holy grail is a happy safc...even a staunch wallsend mag in stokoe saw that there was something special here and unique. I remember years ago meeting marseilles fans on a school trip and told this lad Chris waddle was from our area...we were treat like gods
I said yesterday we want some 'Joy' on page 1000...all other posters apart from @Prehab26 @Wheatsheaf @Hawyatt Earp @Smug in Boots & @Magnus should be banned from posting on it
I would include @Hawyatt Earp in that list as well.... I think there may even be a couple more who go a bit unnoticed.
Agree with this. It might be me getting long in the tooth (54), but I can't hack all the hissy fits, and all the "X is the worst player ever to play for SAFC" posts, posted by people half my age. I prefer the SMB side these days.
I probably know the least of any of those people but I'm confident about my info. Still nothing to say Fuhrman has given up. FPP must've put £1m into this all so far, with DD, lawyers, advisors, feasibility studies, flights, etc. Things are clear for me if you look at it this way ... ... they invested in a club being run by a chancer with little real wealth, why not continue to invest now when we have serious people? That investment could eventually make them a lot more than if Donald and Methven were still there.
To be fair I posted this because I have seen reports from so called respectable news outlets on tinternet and on Facebook with articles about us claiming this is happening and that is happening, fans are becoming confused and this leads to a bit of a lack of excitement which I believe should be the exact opposite as we should be embracing the dawn of this new era and as fans of our club but instead find ourselves complaining about SD and CM. I belive in the old adage that a fool and his money are soon parted and if what people have said about the failed FPP bid and how it was handled then I am sure somewhere down the line that will be levelled. I just hope that whoever and however the proposed takeoverhappens that it is right for this great club and that we lift our heads and march forward without looking back. A new brush sweeps clean as they say and we as fans need to come together either on a forum on the Internet in the media or at stadiums and let the footballing world hear us sing at full voice again.
More like Hamburger Gessler I Will not Tell you again You would probably go cuckoo clock on me To the music of Rossini
Makes sense really, doesn't it. And they would now be dealing with like-minded, successful business people, where failure is NOT an option......rather than a pair of chancers.
