Yes thanks Angeiic - scars have healed and I only have one very small 'niggle' which doesn't really affect my life. My heart rate is coming down but still hasn't reached pre-illness levels (and won't, I guess, until I get fit again). The frustrating thing for me is that I was JUST about to restart playing football when the first lockdown happened, so it was put on hold. Likewise, I was just about to start again when the second lockdown hit.
I've put on a lot of weight and I've struggled to curtail my beer and food consumption - I'm working from home and sat on my ample (and growing) arse all day, in front of the PC by day and the TV by night, grazing from the fridge between meetings/ad breaks - it's so easy and convenient!
I have now managed to reduce my beer consumption - I made a rule that I only drink beer Friday-Sunday and no alcohol for the rest of the week unless its a special day (birthday, Christmas etc) - for some people that may not be a big thing, but for me its HUGE because I got into some terrible drinking habits since lockdown - mainly because I haven't needed to drive anywhere and the weather for the first lockdown was so nice.
I'm not depressed - far from it - if anything I'm getting a little TOO comfortable and need to snap out of it. I can't wait for this lockdown to end and I can go to the gym and get my cardio levels back - then I can dust off my astros again and return to the football pitch!

I hope the rest of you are keeping fine and safe - lets hope this f-ing disease is beaten in time for 2021.

They gave you a pencil and a pen and the questionnaire ... upon leaving the room she left say ing ... read it through there is 20 questions and I will be back in 10 mins to collect it ................ AT THE TOP was follow instructions & a box to fill in your name. in big bold print q1 q2 jumped out at you ..... are applying for job blaaaa or job blah blah tick appropriate in pen q2 was tick appropriate answer in pencil. However after following the instructions it said read paper before starting. At the end it said please enter your name in pen here and give a date you can start in pencil. You should not have written anything other than these do not answer any other questions. Please wait for paper to be collected.

Sounds like you're pretty fit now JGF - that's good!
I've always been a drinker - mainly the pub, but during the peak of the lockdown when no pubs were available I was getting through in excess of 7 pints a DAY. The trouble is that I wasn't even noticing - when I was thirsty I'd reach for a beer (or even when I was NOT thirsty).
Those days are behind me now - I can control it - it was just habit, not addiction.
There are indeed some great walks - and we DO do them at the weekend, but during the week I don't finish work until its dark so the wife takes the dog for a walk during the daytime.

    Glad you're feeling better !
In terms of food and beer consumption, mine have also gone through the roof since lockdown, especially as I've gone part time since July and now only work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Hopefully I can reduce these bad habits in time, and now Summer is over and no sitting/lying in the garden with plenty of beers to hand in the outside beer fridge, but I think more willpower is needed !

do you still have to travel to Aztec? When I do my Monday walk and get home like now 1710 a lot of people have put out their recycling and a large number have excessive tins bottles of alcohol ..... ! 12 bottles of beer Tesco select 6's last's me a month or so! Should I not snack on cake biscuits and chocolate I would probably be 10 kgs lighter...lol
BCRW must have passed on by now or is 100 and something an am radio friend used to walk the ridgeway daily on some wintery days occasions would talk with him walking back toward J15 direction in the dark about 6 -7pm [early 90's ] he had a head torch from an oldhams miners light and smaller battery pack .... On our Thursday night walks we use our head lamps and when in NW Scotland often [ and as late as 3am ] walked the 3 -4 miles down the mountain! in pitch dark no town lights or anything!

I did until March of this year, and have been home based ever since due to the pandemic, and I only work 3 days a week since July. When the weather was nicer I used to walk to the Black Lion on a lunchtime a few days a week, have a couple of beers, tend the family grave in St Nicholas and then walk home again.

I don't even bother with the black recycling crate these days. The volumes of bottles (I never drink beer from cans) is so vast every week that I keep them at home and then take them to Sainsburys recycling bins twice a week under cover of darkness !

Our bins get emptied fortnightly and I have 6 recycling crates that are all usually full by bin day. Not ALL alcohol of course - newspapers, cardboard, food tins and plastic too, but I admit that a lot of it is beer cans/bottles and wine bottles - the binmen probably think my house is a proper party venue!!!!!

Makes me laugh I always carry our bottle bin out early, quietly and make sure it's at the bottom hidden away from the neighbours view, when the boys come to empty it, they pick it up with a clatter and a bang I disappear, then I hear next doors go in with a louder clatter and bang I don't feel so guilty, we are all in it together.
