My family are from north wales, spent like 60% of my kiddy days there. Caenarfon specifically. Theres only 2 well funded welsh sides, theyre both from southern Wales. Obviously Cardiff and Swansea. Really gives you no choice does it.
Surprised you weren’t brought up a Blue tbh. We have a large following in Nth Wales for precisely that reason.
Haha my family are mostly reds But yes, there are a lot of Everton fans, in the last few years Liverpool have been catching up tho. Its that reason btw that Gary Speed desperately wanted to play for Everton, was a massive fan.
Gary took absolute dogs abuse after he left us for your lot, little did we know he was suffering with his MH. Great player, such a ****ing waste of life.
I remember someone saying, perhaps Robbie Savage, that he was always disappointed how it went there. But apparently despite him enjoying playing for you guys on a personal level, from day one on a business side it was a ****in' nightmare and obviously not to last. Part from that, obviously you'll likely know more about it. Was a top player, I've rewatched him in many games for us and he was just Mr. consistent. Unbelievable ****ing professional on that pitch, Bobby Robson summed it up absolutely perfectly when he left. "In every aspect of Gary Speed playing for Newcastle United, he will be missed!"
Us fans assumed he’d left for the dosh but there were plenty of stories about him falling out with Kendall during his pretty disastrous 3rd spell as manager when he was clearly not well himself, as the bottle had consumed him. But every time he came back to Goodison he got absolute pelters, probably at a level of vitriol only surpassed by what was dished out to Barmby after he went to the RS. Sad times mate when I think back.
Barmbys a decent bloke actually. I've met him a few times and a couple of mates know him really well .
Notice how they used the wrongly disallowed winning goal from that game when Everton beat us 2-2 to show how **** the whole thing is. Anyone reckon we'll ever go back to basics? It's quite clear that VAR is still open to human error or interpretation so all we've done is slow down the game by having offside line checks and refs going to view monitors. After that Everton game and that goal that wasn't given, I've not celebrated a goal like I used to, now I'm waiting after every one to see if they **** us. Will it improve or will it become so disruptive to thr game it eventually gets binned. Cos let's have it right, over here it's been utter ****in dogshit so far.
