Terribly misleading headline in the HDM, saying Fleetwoods owner taking a swipe at Hull City continueing the bad blood between the 2 clubs. But, when you read the article he was just saying the likes of Fleetwood, Hull City, Grimsby etc are in danger of going to the wall without government assistance and a rescue package.

Like you and Chazz I've just read that article,it's just dreadful! Doesn't anybody edit local news these days?

I stupidly read it. I should have ignored it because it was in the HDM. It's complete rubbish. How can they suggest he was taking a swipe at City? If so, he clearly wants a fight with all the other teams who were mentioned. What's worse is that he is probably right. Any club can go to the wall. We are not immune.

We aren't immune, but we are without a shadow of a doubt in a better position then probably 95% of other clubs

Apparently he was also having a go at himself as he mentioned Fleetwood in the list of clubs.
The HDM has won awards. Makes you wonder what the ones lower down the list are like.

I managed to have a look and first post I saw said this
Write about us and for us, but never against us. If you do that, you’ll be doing Hull an excellent service, and not sinking to the despicable depths of that other lot we were once proud of in this city.

From what I've seen, he's no tame mouthpiece, and will be critical where it's needed, but only to highlight an issue that needs more thought or to offer a wider viewpoint, and he does it in a constructive way, rather than simply to create a fog of argument.
