The starting point before we appoint another manager is to have a clear identity and long term plan. The manager then needs to fit in to that.
I’d like that to be an attacking possession based style. Control the ball and be on the front foot. That should deliver success and it is a great style to develop and sell to players. A lot of those managers do that but my preference would be Poyet. Paul Cook is probably the safest option in the short term. Knows the league and has proven that he can get promoted and establish a team in the Championship.
Ultimately almost any manager would be better than Parkinson.
