Aye, but there was the real prospect of us going into a ManC-like freefall. Much more pressure than failing to get promoted to the PL these last couple of seasons. And Bates was still here, of course, which took (more than) the edge off any success - it meant he might have stayed longer. Not cynicism, but fact, sadly. Read a few bits, I get the mist of it. A bit of perspective here. Half a dozen clubs have basically won everything since we last played in pl. therefore best anyone else can hope for is attractive enjoyable football and nobody does that better than Leeds

That is what the Spurs fans refer to themselves as, although the club are apparently trying to stop it. Using the term as a pejorative is offensive to many and should be avoided in the same way as other terms aren't used to describe groups of ethnic or cultural diversity are not appropriate in a multicultural society.
