He's also apparently doing a press conference in 30 minutes, his first since it became apparent that he had lost. This will, I am certain, be an absolute masterclass in dignity and restraint.

Seems to be some talk now that he will relent, but will campaign for President again in the next election. (A President can serve two terms, but they don’t have to be consecutive technically). We could be set for four years of constant Trump campaigning .
This is worth showing to all of those who knew what they were voting for. Maybe they would like to compensate the country for the losses.

Fun fact of the morning: things apparently turned Humpty between Pffefel and Cummings after the discovery that Cummings and Cain referred to Carrie by the unflattering nickname " Princess Nutnuts" . Carrie's longterm membership of the League Against Cruel Sports doesn't sit well with Pfeffel's enthusiasm for the hunt.
It’s good to know that Johnson has his priorities in order. Of all the things he could have sacked Cummings for, he picks name calling his fiancée above all others. A fiancée, it seems, who has as much, if not more, control over Johnson than Cummings had. At least, with Cummings gone, we might be spared the thought of Gove replacing Johnson. Gove takes odious to a whole new level, but could probably get a fantastic trade deal with Colombia.
The super carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, is set to be sent out to the South China Sea next year. This is believed to be in response to the rising tensions caused by Beijing clamping down on democracy and free speech in Hong Kong. Not sure what the aim is, (political posturing that appeals to the readers of the right wing media is my guess) as it is said that owing to delays in ordering, instead of having 36 war planes on board, it will have just 16 - and 8 of those belong to the US Marine Corp. Former First Sea Admiral Lord West says that “The likelihood of war is far greater now”. I hope he is over reacting and is using this way of speech as a means to pressure the government into getting more planes built, in order to get the ship up to the correct number it was designed for, but I think this government has enough on it’s plate without it trying to create a “patriotic” distraction.
I actually want to see no deal now. That may sound counter intuitive and perverse even but at least it will ensure that the blame gets placed where it should be, at the door of Pfeffel and the loony LeaveEU cabal.
