Mmm.....most of Scotland wouldn't say well done to England, but I'm pleased for the players.
5 fantastic penalties and a brilliant save by Marshall.
They're in our group in the Euros.

Not really true - my pals enjoy a bit of ribbing, laughing at how we'll probably **** it up on penalties once out of the group phase, but they are not overly bitter against us qualifying. Most are pretty indifferent about how we get on, unless we look like we might do well - the constant referrals to '66 from the media do tend to rankle them.

Scotland will struggle at the top table, but a couple of goals for Dykes during the group games will treble his value which can only be good for the club.

Yeah, we’re going to struggle to hold onto the boy at this rate.

I agree with what you posted earlier, in that it's good for everyone up there that this has happened, but I'm sticking to my opinion that a huge majority of Scots never want England to do well at football and actively cheer against us.
They'll give us problems in our group game simply because they dislike us so much.
It will be their final!

I didn't phrase it very well. I was supporting England and I was surrounded by absolute ****s also supporting England.

As opposed to the paragons of virtue, the Scotland fans?
I went to an England v Scotland game at Wembley back in the day with my Dad.
Keegan and Brooking played a brilliant one-two and Keegan went through to bury what was, I think, the 2nd in a 2-0 win.
After that went in, me and my Dad had to leave as the avalanche of bottles, cans, spit and piss reigned down.
Lovely bunch!!

That's not much different to ourselves and Chelsea.

This will be the first tournament they've qualified for since I moved up in 2000, so I'm intrigued how mental it will be!

I wouldn’t book annual leave for the day after their games because no **** is turning up anyway. The whole country will be bladdered for two weeks.

I think the problem we'll have with Dykes is that he seems a real, traditional blood and thunder centre forward, which is ideal for more direct football and the championship.
Unfortunately, Warburton likes to play tikka takka, which may explain why we're not seeing the same player as the one getting rave reviews with Scotland.

Yes, if Warburton could get the team to be more direct and fast paced on the counter, Dykes would lap it up

3-5-2 would suit him, he's isolated with the current system...
