The projection is that Warrington will be in tier 2 when this particular lockdown finishes on 2nd December. This means that pubs have to have a substantial food offering to be able to open. As you've probably all gathered by now, The Cheese isn't renowned for its food offering

I was in there last night and this is set to change

It has to really, if the gaff isn't to shut down for good. Initially, it was going to be scotch eggs, pies and sausage rolls, but the landlord's area manager says this won't be sufficient. The menu will therefore consist of:
Various Ploughman's Lunches - cheese, ham, pie, scotch egg, sausage roll etc
Stew and crusty bread
You buy a meal and you're then eligible for four pints. He's charging cost for the food and if you want another four pints, you have to have another meal.
I've never liked ploughman's lunches and I'm very fussy about stew. Looks like I'll just pay the premium for the beer
We'll probably be in tier 3 after all that
