Lockdowns do help to stop the immediate spread of the virus, but it doesn't do anything to cure/kill it. It will still be there when everyone comes out again. Here in Queensland we have kept it under control pretty well by good management and social distancing, but as soon as we open our borders I can see a new wave as the people from NSW and Victoria start streaming into our state from their states where they haven't been as strict with controls as we have. By the way, Leeds South, it is a well known fact that Corona virus sleeps through the day and prowls around at night seeking victims.
Very true mukka, The virus is also very fond of pubs restaurants and football grounds but does seem to shirk away from places of worship.
Last night of pubs shutting at 22-30 tonight, 18-00 from tomorrow. I might aswell make the most of it, laters all.
It will be a lot slower than everyone would hope for. The vaccine has to be stored at something like -80c which means surgeries can’t hold stocks of it, we might need special pop up locations in place with huge freezers. Pfizer has invented it’s own storage cases but... According to leaked Pfizer documents, the suitcases containing the doses can only be opened for a minute at time and not more than twice a day, making it difficult to supply the doses to patients. On the right track but a huge distance to go
