Average flu deaths in the uk since 2015 = 15000
COVID 19 deaths so far this year = 47250
Yes, some facts, but
It's a **** situation, some will die.
But the people need freedom, get back to work etc.
We can’t go on with this lockdown bollox forever.
Maybe spending the money on new hospitals, they will be needed in the future anyway.
Instead of paying people to sit at home.

The majority of those 'covid' deaths had underlying serious illnesses according to some stats
I don't know anyone who knows anyone that have died just from the virus
I do know since march of six people close to me, who have died from cancer, my mother being one of them who passed away in august and she did not receive the treatment she deserved.
One lad was in his 20's, two in their 40's were receiving treatment that i know of
Probably why i'm a cynical bastard .....
and i can smell bullshit a mile away
Sorry to hear about your mother.
<hug> Manhug.

Thanks Este<ok>
I was talking to my taxi driver, an Asian lad on saturday night and we were talking about the chinaVirus, he said his mother had passed away and as Muslims need to bury their people asap the only way they would release her was if they would agree for them to put the virus on the death certificate because it would be quicker. don't know if he was bullshitting but there you go

Probably true, also my old man was going to the canaries on holiday, but he needs a negative test.
As I had no idea where to get a test done I asked about,
Took me 15 minutes to find a bona fide hospital, official test and, if you want negative, the test will be negative!
Don't quote me on that tho.

Its like the people who say they have sent tests off that have been wiped on a apple or not used at all, and they've come back positive, a girl i know said her niece sent one off and she put it in dirty water and it came back positive, i saw a vid of a lad sending one off after doing nothing with it and that came back positive, he seemed quite genuine, again, is it true or just bollox,? i may try it myself to find out.
BTW i understand its not the NHS, but Serco, who have got the multi million pound contract to do the tests, they seem to have their fingers in a lot of pies, i wonder which government ministers mates are running that company, why didn't they give the money to the NHS seeing as they are geared up to do that kind of thing.

I was just quoting figures to get some kind of comparison
Problem is too many conspiracy theories
As per usual the great British public do not help themselves

Evening all, just wondering if there is any bonfire night stuff allowed this year?
Evening Este<ok> there's no organised bonfires but plenty of fireworks going off, saw a few small garden bonfires on my way way home from work.
We could have done with Guy Fawkes this week to blow up parliament with Boris and the rest of the ****s in there

Good to hear some people are trying to the make the best out of a bad situation.
I was thinking about re-kindling the old evening all thread we used to have on the beeb 606 as most of us are in a nocturnal lockdown, just inane bollox, a bit like banter in a pub if anyone is interested?

Evening all,
New lockdown measures announced today and come into force tomorrow night.
Curfew from 22-00 till 07-00
All non essential to be closed from 18-00 ( that includes bars and restaurants)
Not allowed to leave your own town apart from school or work.
Grim to say the least.

Only consolation is that it’s happening all over Europe

You'd think if non essential places are shut at 18.00 or not open at all then a curfew between 22.00 and 7.00 is completely unnecessary.
