We used to be very good at counter attacking but we always seem to stop, hold the ball up or go back to the CBs nowadays. So frustrating when playing against teams like this, it's just letting them re-park the bus.
I think our counter attacks on their day were a result of a well drilled machine
Unfortunately a few of the cogs have changed and it will always take time
It ain’t pretty atm but just need to get those points
Finesse later when we have our squad back
Personally all the talk of records etc I think guarantees the loss here but will see
Probs a draw

The problem is in midfield. Thiago will fix this so the sooner he’s back the better. I worry about carrying too many injury prone players these days....I hope Thiago isn’t another one.

I get that, but we didn't have Thiago the last couple years and we were ****ing brilliant. We seem to lack effort and desire.

But our complete lack of creation is not due to VVD

no, we’ve lacked creativity in the middle for some time haven’t we? However, without VvD, we have to play differently in a lot of ways. So many of our attacks started with a 30+ yard ball from VvD to one of the full backs....and our midfield could play 10 yards forward, knowing that his pace and aerial ability would cover them. We’re a completely different team without him...and my point was that Thiago will improve that <ok>

Think ginis been very good for us today. Has broken the lines a few times

what a pass from hendo. Robbo first touch was just a tad too hard
