The principal is out but the deputy was last seen trying out pharmaceutical products to psychoanalyse the pupils.
Bye bye Billie, you must have swallowed the profanisaurus. Someone like me ha ha. Your default position is insult, well done. I'll **** myself when I can get round to it.
Actually Jabbo, my default position is far from insult, it is rare that I resort to that, but when faced with constant **** as I have done lately on this thread, perhaps you could show some understanding. I do sincerely apologise for what I saiid, it wasn't the right thing to say, but you do appear to have been waiting in the wings just to put a boot in. For that, maybe you could demonstrate some remorse, empathy or shame. Not that I am expecting you to do so.
But then he wont be able to see who reacts to provocative posts, and that would spoil/end his little game.
I'M NOT RILED! HE CAN'T ****ING WELL WIND ME UP THE ****! Or is your post directed at the priestly one?
That is sad - you asked for honest engagement and I was prepared to listen to your views - I have not called you any names or disparaged you in any way. Let the heat die down and we can try and communicate with each other intellectually. Debates on on internet forums don't generally work well as it always degenerates to 'you suck, and I am not listening to you', and this is a problem on this thread on occasion. Jokey answers should be sign posted - <blue ink>/ <jk> as we can't always tell if you are being serious or not otherwise. Unfortunately, many on here think the whole situation for the last few years have been a joke so a natural shorthand has been developed where we laugh at the current government and it's leaders. As you say it is not a debate but an ingrained opinion - maybe this acts as a barrier to any who have the opposing view. You will just have to fight harder to be heard on an intellectual level and be above the name calling stuff.
Where were we on Joh To get back on topic, it can't be his personality as he is lacking in that department, nor his looks. As for policies, all are borrowed from Trump' s nursery cupboard. So Johnson's appeal to considerable swathes of the electorate is oñe of the great mysteries of British history.
I'd love to be you, having everything sussed out about people. You know what, It doesnt make much difference to me how you see things, but you do seem to be hanging on something to have a pop at me, well done you, big man
Maybe, just maybe there are posts just as tongue in cheek as you claim yours to be. No offence intended throughout.
Thanks for the reply, i appreciate it. I regret saying what I did about insulting Jabbo, and I apologised for it, as it was very wrong of me. I wont apologise to Farked, as I think he is a ****. I did delete the post to him though, as I realised it wasnt the right thing to say, but there are those on here that jump on things, as is their prerogative. I dont think debates are possible on this thread, hence why I cant be arsed, as I think you are correct, they are engrained opinions. I raised the Q the other day about a religion thread, tongue in cheek, as I see this thread and resligion as the same, people dont want to listen to other views, and one feels like they are constantly being shouted down. Anyhow, like I said, think I shall give this place a miss from now on!
It depends how an alternative view is put. What we have now is a deeply divided society, in a deeply divided world. What the UK needs now is a PM with the calibre of Blair, a PM who was able to reach out across the divide in three elections, a PM who appealed to voters in Labour's traditional heartlands as well as in the leafy surroundings of Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Southampton.
Could this be your spiritual home Billie? http://www.edeb8.com/ This an interesting read https://demos.co.uk/blog/positive-online-debate/
This may have been seen before, but having watched it again it has raised, for me, a surprise of gargantuan size. At 4.15 on the video, he clearly states that the UK Welfare State is SMALLER than any other welfare state in the EU. Is this really the case? For decades I have seen the right telling us that the welfare state is unaffordable and overly generous, encouraging people to abuse it, rather than work. (Yes there are some who do, but for everyone that does there are, in my opinion, potentially as many or more businesses abusing their tax returns, so I think that balances that claim out). Also we are more and more being told that it is access to our welfare state that is driving immigrants to come here, rather than stop in one of the other EU countries that seemingly, based on this video, have bigger welfare states. Personally I think the desire to get here is more driven by the universal use of English as a second language in so many countries around the world, much of it due to our colonisation of so many of those countries.
Right on the button St B particularly with the insidious welfare abuse and immigrant propaganda. I've been fortunate to have worked in a number of different locations worldwide and been able to compare. Many have superior medical provision, eg number of beds and staff to tend those in them as has been shown with the CV pandemic also preventative medicine practise. A lot more have far better pension setups. I'm happy to be living in the #1 https://www.investopedia.com/articles/personal-finance/042914/top-pension-systems-world.asp
The NHS is pretty much all we’ve got left of the old “cradle to the grave” welfare system that, for 35 years, all sides of the political spectrum were invested in. Everything else has been parcelled up and flogged off for profit (as have many services still under the NHS banner). So
