Both times the establishment were defeated (just an objective fact, doesn't mean that anything not of the establishment is good or bad), and the response by the establishment has been the same, albeit augmented by cultural differences and a different media landscape (UK media is less brazen in it's bullshit, except Sky News who are full on US-like lying corporate media)
