Over an hour after the final whistle and no-one has posted the MOTM poll so....

We narrowly lost in a tight game on a ****ty afternoon to a better organised team who took the two chances they had. Its not the end of the world.

1. Honeyman
2. Emmanual
3. Burke.

Probably KLP's least effective game.

Honeyman
Docherty
Wilks

Emmanuel didn't have his best game (which given the conditions is perhaps a tad harsh), he looks like he's starting to tire a bit and with Coyle out, that will be a concern for McCann.

I think a few of them tired a bit, must be hard work charging up and down in pissing rain. Smallwood looked a bit leggy towards the end and even Honeyman was making mistakes which could have been down to tiredness.

Wilkes - goal and always a handful
Smallwood - lead the team well a steady head in the middle
Emmanuel - aided Wilkes on the right going forward and did well in defence.

Not our day today . Go again Tuesday boys and back winning ways

It took just over an hour after the final whistle for some moaning bastard to complain about the absence of an MOM thread. <laugh> Totally unnecessary forward comment.

Sorry to post something different on here but I see lots of mentions of tiring players. They are supposed to be fit and professionals. They are not running multiple marathons in consecutive days as some people do for charity. They are not running all the time. Su day league amateurs are fitter and put in more commitment to some of the city players I have seen this year

Are you really sure about that?

Anyway you forgot to say that players on umpteen £k a week should never get tired.

****e post.

True they are too busy spending it or raking it in to bother doing any exercise

The 'Sunday League amateurs are fitter and put more commitment in....' is a very old ruse which I've heard often over the years and its absolute tosh.
Yesterday we were outdone by a decent team, perhaps even a better team for periods in the second half. We hit the post, they go up the other end have a pop and its deflected into the net and that was the only difference. A draw would have been a fairer result given the conditions.
Interested to know who these City players are who you think have not been showing commitment this season ?

Smallwood
Emmanuel
Honeyman

(Good to see that some people STILL clog up the motm threads with crap comments that should go elsewhere, btw.)

Smallwood. Thought he started most of our best moves. Becoming very influential.
Honeyman. Usual all action display.
Emmanuel.
