A friend of a friend has dropped off some old Hull City programmes with me. Should be worth a few bob.

Unlike this and last season's efforts in which anything pre 2010 seems verboten, unless absolutely mandatory.

It's almost like someone wants to discredit or erase our past.

That’s not really true. The programme has this bizarre demarcation now between talking about “the club” and “The Tigers” in the presents day context, but is happy to refer freely to “Hull City” in articles about our past, such as past meetings and the like. There is stuff about our past in there, but it’s presented as another club.

There's usually one item per game that examines someone or something from pre 2010.

Not expecting the name on the cover to reflect our proper name till the start of the season after next, as the programmes have already been ordered.

Just had someone ask whether there was an obvious place to go to sell old City programmes.
Not sure if there’s still a market, but apparently they have a gazillion of them going back to the 40’s.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers

My whole front room is already wallpapered in old programmes.
The feature wall is a huge mural of the Boothferry Park floodlights.
    Doubled the house value.

Caroline Hawley should be. But that's not Baitsons.

Caroline was the main auctioneer on bargain hunt lunch time yesterday. There was a rather portly John Hawley in some of the footage too.

No, but they have now been fairly well nostalgically replicated at the KCOM. Admittedly the infamous pong isn't quite as bad as BP was but it had been getting close to it (before the lock down). Presumably the club will be obliged to finally clean them though at some point before fans are eventually allowed back - whenever that may be.

If we had a club museum we could all go and see some of these antique City programmes like when we played at Barcelona etc.
