With an abundance of strikers and a home game, I would be tempted to play with two strikers 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 are the obvious formations, I guess that MW would prefer the 3-5-2.
To get the best out of BOS and Albert, I'd prefer 4-2-3-1. Don't think we've really got a left wing back to play in a 3-5-2.
True we haven’t (unless we resurrect Niko). But we have Wallace. So it would be slow moving wingback impersonating a full back. A bit disfunctional I admit!
I watched them play Cardiff at the weekend and I thought Cardiff were much the better team and fully deserved their win. As a Preston fan said, keep them goalless and they run out of ideas. We need to score first and hopefully ............................they run out of ideas.
Agree about BOS and Albert being a better fit in 4 2 3 1, though I'd love to see BOS given a go at WB. Left wing back is also where Nico plays, though I'm not sure if he's fit or in Warburton's plans. Think Kakay has played both right wing back and right CB, pretty well as I remember. The 3 5 2 allows us to play the extra striker, but maybe we now don't have a defensive midfielder quick enough to cover behind the wing backs when balls are aimed into the space left behind them when they've got forward.
Very important match this. Three points and then another winable home game on Saturday followed by Barnsley could put us right up there (steady!).
This season is weirder than others... for a start I can't believe the Fakes are top when they have spent the last 4 seasons just about staying up? I keep seeing unusual results. I hate to use that old cliche but anyone can beat anyone. I expect the usual teams to kick on as the weeks go by and hope we are at least competing for a top ten place.
Camaron, Ball and Carroll, while Uncle Albert and Willock on the bech, when we are at HOME is extremely negative.
