At it again yesterday with their repertoire of offensive songs. It's about time action was taken against them.

It seems they hate Hearts as much as they hate us.

Is it just a coincidence that Hearts are the "proddie" team of Edinburgh or is it much more sinister than that. .

Sectarianism and bigotry is still rife at Celtic, that much is plain to see.

I couldn't care less what they sing, but if we're getting chinned continually for singing then why should we sit back and watch them get away with sustained chanting about terrorism and against our country?

We've lost our rousing main anthem through a massive stitch up and a failure to defend ourselves <bainmuir>

They carry on singing songs of hatred completely unpunished.

There should either be a playing field on sectarianism or they should leave us all alone to sing whatever the fuck we want, as was the case when football was fun.

I`d almost agree , famine song etc etc should just be laughed at....though " up to our knees in fenian blood " is just plain wrong.

and of course , yes, I have no time for all that ira pish. moronic. especially in the context of a football match.

The Hearts fans were singing a selection of the latest songs from the hit parade. No songs of hatred or sectarianism for them.

Maybe the problem is that both rangers and hearts SEE themselves as proddie teams....simmering with religious intolerance

But on the songs I agree with Frank, sing on and leave us all alone

    Sticks and stones

You learn that in primary school

I have no problem with bringing ourselves inline with the 21st century by ditching "up to our knees in fenian blood" as it is asking for trouble, also anyone singing No Pope of Rome need to have a serious look in the mirror. However, I do have a problem with every single verse our fans sing being scrutinised while the celtc support freely sing their IRA pish.

If our fans were left alone to sing whatever we like, including the mindless cringeworthy bile that seems to have been phased out then I couldnt care less what celtc fans sung. Its got to be the same for everyone.

As for the Billy Boys, its a shame nothing was done to modernise this chant. I admit I used to sing "up to our knees in fenian blood" but I grew out of it as "we're on our way to victory, at Ibrox or away" sounds better and actually supports our team as opposed to slagging off a shower of honking Irish Rebels that I dont care or even know much about.

We both have our team related songs, we both have our political roots songs, the majority of which dont cause a bit of offense if we're being realistic here. Sometimes a wind up chant comes out where the opposition support will state, "ya bastards" as it has hit a nerve but there's no need to run to the authorities, wind ups are part of the game.

I wish the SNP and all the handwringers profiteering from this new and ****e "sectarian industry" would just fuck off and let us try and enjoy whats left of Scottish Football.

More to the point and maybe I am proving myself to be a bigot, which I seriously doubt, but why the **** can't we sing, "up to our knees in fenian blood"? I honestly see no problem with it.
