I thought I was going to do one of these sodding threads then step backwards into the obscurity of an "Anyone remember ....?" post three years next Tuesday. Here's my view. please log in to view this image And instead of looking out there at the glory of Britain's canal network I'm posting another bloody miserable invitation to a whingefest when we go a goal down and we're suddenly ripe for relegation. Well this is the last one. We're overdue a tonking so let's get it over and done with. Here's to a loss to the oldest dugouts in the world. (To Scousers who now know I'm on holiday. Goodbye to the £200 in the Quality Street tin behind my sofa in the living room. The one on the right. Opposite the TV. Though they'll probably take that as well.)
I have noticed that whenever you write this, you invariably leave out the initial “One onionman...” which precedes what you have written. If we are to eulogise our hero Vin, we should at least sing his praises in full.
I would expect Southgate to come along to this one. Gets to see two England strikers for the price of one. Of course, it will be Danny grabbing the headlines.
So Armstrong back in for Theo. Any other changes? Vesty v DCL ? No reason we can't get something from this. What a difference a year makes.
Not sure I understand this ludicrous retrospective punishment stuff but at least Pickford will be in goal Sunday.
