With dwindling involvement I thought we could have a thread that can be used for our future matches, save waiting for a brave soul to start one each week. If we have a moderator? this could be pinned to the top.

Next up is Sheff Utd, pointless as ourselves and a win or draw for us will be a boost for sure.
As all games this is tough, the opposition will be full out to get the points.
With injuries, Andersen, Tete and Reed, the choices are less difficult for the starting line up, but still not obvious. Kongolo isn't fit to play as yet either I hear from the FFC interview.
Who do you thing will and should start this week?
Oh, if you don't like the idea of a one thread fits all, please comment, it could start some discussion in itself.

We looked much better against Wolves before the break, still came away with nothing but hopefully still took some confidence from the improved performance. Lookman has to start, he looks like making something happen every time he's on the ball. I imagine RLC will come straight into the starting 11 too? I hope so! In defence you wonder if Adarabioyo will be ready to come straight in, possibly go with MLM and Hec/Ream.

    Areola
    Aina Hector/Ream MLM Bryan
    Anguissa Cairney
    Kamara RLC Lookman

Good idea 2whitestripes on Match thread.

Agree with Fabio, Lookman has to start. We need to a point as a minimum. It's difficult to predict a line up. I don't think we can afford to change it up too much as a starting line up but certainly will be good to see some of the new players introduced during the game. I might be tempted to start Adarabioyo if possible.

Thanks FF, if we can add grit and determination we should be in with a shout.
Something I have noticed is that we have a physically bigger team, that has been a problem n the past.

Looking forward to seeing RLC and more of Lookman. Willing to give RLC some time, he may need it having not played much recently, over the season though I think he will be a big player for us.

I think if we can perform similar to against Wolves we will get something, just need to take our chances this time!

Bright start from us for the first 10 mins or so, some good passing moves but after that there was very little from us. All Sheff Utd from there and we're a bit lucky to be going in 0-0.

Think we need more from Mitro, to be fair he wasn't getting much to go on but even when the ball is played up to him hes not holding it up as well as usual or looking like himself.

Still in the game but for the majority of the half it just seemed like a matter of time before they scored. I doubt we could hold out another 45 mins of this.

I don't know how to feel after that, at half time I'd have happily taken a point but having got the lead and missed several chances to get back in front at 1-1, it feels like 2 points dropped now.

Mitro has had an absolute mare today, it just wasn't his day. He just needs to forget about it and get on with it.

Listened to the 2nd half on the radio. Sounded like we were unlucky but more importantly played well. Lookman appeared to have a good game. Onwards and upwards COYW

Similar feeling FF, perhaps in balance a draw was fair but we could or should have won in the end.
Mitro wasn't on fire but the embers burn, in the right place at the right time and chances were possible.
The VAR was ridiculous for their penalty, but an unfortunate sign of the times. Having the ref check showed the moderator didn't know for sure in slow motion, so is it an obvious mistake by the ref, NO.
Some good performances all round, perhaps RLC could have been replaced earlier, he tiered as would be expected, Lamina did well and brought Robinson into the attack.
Looking positive going forward to our next game.

Areola, Adarabioyo, Anguissa and Lookman all standouts. Anguissa is absolute class, keeping him might turn out to be the best bit of business we do. Lookman will be massive for us too, looks to make something happen every time he gets the ball, I just hope we don't start to rely on him too much.

On a negative note, Cav just isn't doing it for me, I think we need to bring Kamara or Kebano back into the team. Also Aina, its early days for him but i haven't been that impressed by him so far. Tete looked much better before his injury, hopefully he won't be out too long.

I had a look through to see which games were due to be on these box office channels. We're 1 of only 3 teams that all of our next 3 games(including today) will be on box office. Us, Villa and West Brom are all on box office for all 3 games, All other teams have at least 1 game being shown on the normal SkySports or Bt Sports channels.

So that's an extra £45 for us if you want to watch these 3 games, thats on top of what fans are already paying monthly to Sky, BT and also not forgetting a lot of fans have already paid money to clubs themselves for season tickets or to reserve their seat etc. Its just pure greed.

The comparison of £45 for our 3 matches is as follows from Sky's advert

All Sky Sports and BT Sport

    • ✓ Make the most of 207 live Premier League games this season
    • ✓ EFL, F1®, Golf Majors, T20 & IPL Cricket and NFL on Sky
    • ✓ UEFA Champions League, Europa League & Women's Super League on BT

    £40 a month

    18-month contract

So is it good value buying the 3 Box Office games? NOT AT ALL, disgraceful.
