I was at Wembley for Spurs v Rochdale in February 2018. The first time a spurs game had used VAR. I was ringing my eldest daughter and a mate who were watching at home to find out wtf was going on. I knew then that it would be bollocks. It kills goal celebrations, gives moronic penalties, backs stupid refereeing decisions, rules out goals, gives ****wit hand ball decisions and is destrying football for those in the ground imho...but **** me ... Liverpool acting like they are the only ones being butt ****ed is laughable. Asking for a review of decisions cos they went against you is the hall mark of of entitled ****s.
This alone is reason enough to bin it off for me. The fact that its function seems to offer little more than what the on field ref does anyway, renders it defunct for me. Lob it in the bin
Who’s said that they’re pleased like? Not me. It’s not even been confirmed has it? An extra inhaler and a supersized juice and he’ll likely be back next week.
Hit them hard this one like. We’ve had loads of players suffer from broken legs and cruciate injuries in recent years. Can’t remember the last time the RS had one tbh. Maybe that’s it.
Likewise ... injuries to the best players are a blight on the game ... ... it is far more satisfying as a fan to beat your opponents when they are at full strength ... the game we won away at Citeh in our title year will remain in our folklore for generations ... watching Yaya and David Silva getting hauled and looking shellshocked as they came off and Aguero and Sterling trudging off dejectedly at the final whistle is one of my abiding memories... a happy place
I don’t think anyone has said they’re happy he’s potentially injured have they mate? You should point out if they have.
Can't speak for other fans but I hate anyone getting injured. Might be because my own aspirations of being a pro were all but ended at 19 when I needed the same knee op that Kevin Beattie and later Paul Gascoigne had. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
The rest of the PL have asked for 1,324 cases where Liverpool have been the beneficiaries of VAR to also be investigated
Sky bet enhanced odds. Sheff utd, Palace, Spuds and the vile all to win 200/1 got to worth a fiver. The vile haveva crap record against Leicester but with injuries and the form they're in, could it be the day their fortunes change
I think the Lesta / Villa game later could be a cracker. @FosseFilberto have you got anyone missing today fella?
I think people should learn the rules. Yes it was a reckless foul that would've deserved a red had play been ongoing, but it was not violent conduct, therefore the preceding off-side negates the possiblilty of a red for the foul.
