I was in the clock end that day
We were in the stand opposite the dug out nearer to their main stand. Actually I had the best view of the Jensen goal.
I'm sorry if I am repeating myself... I also remember the T-shirts that came out after... The Arsenal ones said "I was there when Jesen scored" and a week later we made some "I was there when Jesen scored... and Gallen Allen and Impey". :emoticon-0102-bigsm

First game I went to was Sheffield Wednesday in 1994;

Best game I have seen at Loftus Road, particularly in terms of atmosphere, would be tough to say...but probably between one of these two;

QPR 6 Palace 0

or QPR 1 Oldham 0 in the playoffs

The atmosphere against Oldham was sensational.

I watched the palace 6-0 highlights recently. There was talk I think about them throwing the game or at least their goalie ‘not trying’

Nah, if I remember correctly, we needed the win to ensure safety and so were well up for it.

I was at the Palace game, right near the front of the bottom tier of the loft. Palace were utter ****e, but the atmosphere was great.

Best atmosphere in recent times for me was the home leg of the play off semis against Wigan. Though we (the crowd) were genuinely scary in the 1-0 win over Chelsea when they had a couple sent off and Mata was too scared to take the corners.

I have not haunted Loftus Road but i have attended a few matches. the first was on Boxing Day 1980 when we thrashed the Hammers 3:0. I was at that match with my then girlfriend's brother, a Rupert supporter, who suggested before we went that we go to the Fulham match so I could avoid watching my team get tonked. Glad I declined that. The relationship with that girlfriend eventually fizzled but not my support for the Rs,

Owing to Covid, and increasing age it is quite possible that I may not be back to LR again but if someone out there knows of a video from that 1980 match and can out me in the way of it i would be much obliged..

Is this the one? Only 90 seconds long. Maybe there’s a longer version, I’ll look later.

I was working with an old-school Chelsea fan at the time of that game (home and away season-ticket holder and almost certainly a Sheddite thug in his day ) and he said that that was the most intimidating atmosphere he'd ever encountered. He seemed genuinely puzzled, though, as to why there was such hatred from the Rs fans. I had to explain to him what ****s he and his fellow Chels were in the 70s and 80s and that many Rangers fans had been waiting for that day for a long time.
