I know it did, some of it deserved too. But that is not the point here, which is that Biden is being marketed as "Honest Joe" when he has a history of venality and deceit behind him. I offered that example as a particularly egregious one, and to show he is not knew to an easy lie. If you can't remember it, he quoted more than just a few words, persisted with the deceit and only relented when his own party leaned on him. Believe me, I am no fan of Trump. Nor do I cling to immature loyalty to any party, here or anywhere; it is the very worst thing you can do and the thing they want most from you. I have no dog in this fight and can view it dispassionately , and from my seat the election of Biden will be a serious long term problem for the USA. They can't keep him hidden when he's president and he is so clearly in mental decline it is tragic to witness. When it becomes clear that the Democrats knew this all along, and it will become clear, their whole system is in peril. That, speaking selfishly, is very bad for the UK.
I have not seen this history of lies and deceit you speak regarding Biden.. Quoting extracts from an iconic speech (although not portrayed as this by our predominantly Tory supporting media), without giving credit is not exactly crime of the century.. Now Trump on the other hand has at least 20,000 documented lies and counting since he became president. You can't even compare the two when it comes to who is the most honest.
Even IF Biden has said a few things over the last 40 odd years maybe he shouldn't....then surely whatever he said cannot be worse than Trump has said this week. Trump is out of control, I actually think the guy is unhinged. I'm sure Biden WILL last 4 years, but they have some decent people in the Democrats who can replace Joe as and when.
