Oh dear Ashworth said in the House earlier that a lockdown would be 'disastrous' and 2 hours later Sir Kier says we opposite?
I think you will find I always said that he never commits. I then said as soon as he does he will be found out. I also complained that he doesn't give another option... Well today he has and people are slaughtering him for it.
It was from a commentator that spoke to him. He has just said "I can't believe the change of position". Watford you will be wrong here mate. Don't tie your colours to the mast. I know that you are gutted because deep down you must know it is a stupid move and he has made a t2t of himself. Nothing more than playing politics and gambling.
Labour MP's have been getting at Starmer to stop being a nodding dog. So now, at the first opportunity since then, he seizes on the idea that we're going to have a circuit break that could last weeks/months and do untold damage to the economy, not to mention mental health. Daily Mirror polling says 9 out of 10 people fear for their jobs I think if I was Boris, I might let Starmer put it to Parliament for a vote and let MP's vote with their conscience.
It's really quite simple. He only found out yesterday that the government had ignored the advice of SAGE.
It wasn't Brenda it was an MP who spoke to him. He has just said it on National Radio... By the way I don't listen to Talk Radio. Watford go on twitter Captain Hindsight... getting slaughtered.
What did I say all that time ago Goldie... I said as soon as he opened his mouth he would put his foot in it. Classic reading posts from parents on twitter.
Didn't you support the original lock-down, irrespective of the untold damage to the economy and mental health?
Twitter is whatever you want it to be. I doubt all of Twitter is as there’s never a consensus on anything. It really only suggests the sort of flag-shagging ****s you follow.
There's a big difference between one lockdown - which was a methodology followed throughout most of Europe - and a second when the economy is now in record debt. It's not something you just jump on like Starmer has, because millions will lose their jobs. There are pockets of problems that should be addressed. Areas in the North that just haven't treated the virus seriously. Students who pass the virus around like sweets and then go into pubs and infect others. I'm not seeking to attribute personal blame to them but it seems to me a balanced approach and targeting is the way forward now.
