Been looking at doing some nice Autumn one pots, the Beef Maafe was really good going to do a Jamaican curry this weekend, looks interesting.
Anybody got a good recipe for white sauce ? Mine always ends up tasting too 'floury'. Should I cook it off for a bit longer and and in a dash of single cream at the end ?
Good shout. I know Luv has got some good Italian recipes. I'm only making it for a Cauliflower cheese, but I'm sure he can give me a nice Italian twist on it
You're not cooking the roux long enough. Taste the roux it won't taste floury even at that point if its ready to add milk.
I always find it's a fine line between making your sauce go to dry and undercooking it though. Just add more milk ?
