Ipswich were due to play Charlton but Charlton also wanted to postpone. Ipswich and Blackpool didn’t want to get behind with their fixtures so moved their game forward with the leagues permission.

Absolute no show from them, easily turned over by Ipswich. We could have beaten them with a second string team ffs. Another brilliant decision by Parky to call that one off. As we all know, games in hand count for nothing and will be playing catch up for the foreseeable future. Mentally it has an effect, I don’t care what anyone says. Have we learnt nothing?

We all know football doesn’t work out the way supporters would like it too. No guarantee we would’ve won

Every team raises their game against Sunderland in this division. Saying “our second string” and all that is utter rubbish. Just looking for a stick to beat Parkinson’s with. We had a number of defenders missing (almost all of them) so of course it’s the right decision

I don't get these professional whingers, if we were in the champions league final they'd be saying the team selection was ****e and the manager should be sacked.

A dose of realism is required for some, we're in league one and we've got a league one quality manager. Simple facts. None of us could do the job better

hahaha we still using the ‘teams raise their games against us’ as an excuse? That novelty wore off a year ago mate, pathetic. We are just another league one club now unfortunately and the sooner we accept that the sooner we will get out of this awful league. Flanagan wasn’t sent off until after the game had been called off, so Parkinson wasn’t aware we would be short. If we can’t beat a team like the mighty Blackpool with 2-3 ‘first teamers’ out, then we don’t deserve to go up.

Was going to write a post pointing out every flaw in your argument but it’s pointless as you’re a clueless negative fan. You probably call yourself realistic too? We had one CD 80% fit fir the game. Makes perfect sense to call it off. But you believe what you like as long as it gives you something else to hold against Parkinson with your blatant agenda

Oh and Flanagan was missing as he’s called up fir international duty! So he would’ve been missing regardless!

Nothing wrong with a bit of negativity, all opinions are valid on a forum, but somebody is barking up the wrong tree here, down boy give peace a chance.. <laugh>
At the same time you have to say well done Ipswich for having the courage to take advantage of the situation.

We could have won 5-0 and some would have complained that it should have been at least 6 against a weakened Blackpool.
