Ten games into the season, we are on pace to: - Score 115 goals. Since the Championship became the Championship, no team has exceeded 100, though Reading (99 goals in 2005-06) came close. To reach 100, we would merely have to score 2.08 goals/game for the remainder of the year. - Outscore the second-best attack by 28. - Score 3+ goals 28 times. - Achieve a goal differential of +60. - Tally 101 points, with 32 wins, 5 draws, and 9 losses. -Feature a 37 goal scorer, in Rickie Lambert. That's league-only. While it is slightly unlikely (read: basically impossible) that we will keep up this sort of pace, it speaks to how remarkable our run of form has been, and how blessed we have been as fans to not only have a club that is playing winning football, but is doing so while providing more entertainment than just about any other side in England at the moment.
Interesting stuff, we really are doing amazingly, would anyone have believed if we said this is where we would be 10 games in, i dont think even any of us would. Long may it continue, In nige, nicola and the players, we trust.
Love it when the Daily Fail gets it wrong http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...est-stick-Steve-McClaren-fear-2m-pay-off.html
