I know a guy who had it, he has severe liver issues, ended up in hospital and lived to tell the tale. Ultimatey, though, this man made virus from a communist country is designed to destabilise capitalism. So big hand for China.
It’s laughable when rabble rousers like Burnham cry like bitches about the nasty government locking down pubs and clubs... whilst under his stewardship, Manchester in just one weekend at the peak of the last pandemic saw the police break up 620 illegal ****ing house parties. If I were Boris I’d tell Burnham he has total control and to sort his own house out. 3 weeks later Manchester will have higher Covid levels than most countries and folk will be dying in the hospital corridors. the other train of thought is to just say **** it.. let’s do a Sweden model and let it wash through everyone. I have a couple of mates who genuinely think there isn’t a real virus and it’s part of a government agenda for control. Staggering. they don’t like it when I ask them their views on the shape of the earth.
I've been to a hospital recently on two separate occasions for non-covid reasons. Here's my observations: - The hospital itself is ****ing empty. Wards are shut, there's no bastards dying in the corridors. Even more interesting is the incredibly noticeable lack of feckless, jobless ****ers clogging up hallways, reception areas and so on. Strange that, almost as if the unwashed now suddenly aren't getting ill. Almost as if many, many people weren't actually sick in the first place. - Nobody is ****ing dying from Covid. The numbers are insanely low, there were 7 (seven) deaths in the last day. All of them were elderly. Every, single one. - The percentage of old people whose deaths are slightly accelerated - just like they are by winter flu - is by far the biggest contributor to mortality. The numbers of students being submitted to hospital is insanely low. The whole thing is like Brexit - boring, badly managed bullshit with politicians constantly trying to say the right platitudes to as many voters as possible. We lack leadership in every possible way and have effectively allowed something which is designed to impact capitalism do exactly that. When a bomb blew up at a concert, people were told to keep going to concerts. When airplanes flew into the Twin Towers, Americans were back at work the next day staunchly defending their rights. When China sent a virus to scare the **** out of people and shut down the fabric of capitalism, our ****ing leaders simply allowed it to happen. It's mental.
My Auntie who had Covid and works as a ward sister on a Yorkshire hospital Covid ward would disagree with you... she’s a marathon runner and it messed her up big time.
If people don't believe it's serious then let them get it. They can be the test dummies for any vaccines. I had it (though unconfirmed due to no testing back then) in mid March. Literally no energy for a week and a half. About 7 weeks the persistent cough last for with mucus stringing from my throat to my lungs. The issue in the country is purely the government being corrupt bastards. Seems to be a common theme this corruption malarkey.
Was watching a thing on the BBC about what they are now calling Long Covid - effects take a long time (months) to go away and sufferers have chronic fatigue.
My neighbours had it...I could hear some coughing through the walls (quite eerie). They are slowly recovering. I'm gonna keep working as self-employed and haven't had a penny from the state...and won't get any either so stuff their rules.
Since this started, over one million women in the UK have missed out on breast screening appointments at hospitals (source: BBC). Quite staggering.
This among a sea of other downright ****ing stupidity is why the whole thing is an utter shambles. Friend of mine has a sister who is a cancer risk, she can’t get seen because a few old people might die a bit quicker. It’s ****ing pathetic.
