It didn't look a day to be titting around in behind runners but Champers Elysees seemed to be all over the shop trying to get a run. She stayed on but was never going to get there. Old sparring partner Peaceful was woeful in last place and it was my old pal Nazeef who came through. I backed her in the Nassau and she was a bit lifeless that day in third and the change in distance was the obvious first place to look for excuses, so I was surprised she went over the same trip next time when woeful as odds-on favourite. I couldn't back her based on that poor run but she bounced back today, so well done to those who kept the faith.

Over in France my old friend Valia won the opener over 1m 7f. I had a small bet on her at 40/1 for the Arc De Triomphe after her first couple of starts based on the fact that the trainer entered her for the race before she ever set foot on the racecourse and her early races seemed to indicate she would stay strongly. Two defeats meant that the Arc was scrapped but her win today was in a time more than 19 seconds slower than standard, so that seems really stamina sapping. The other races at Longchamp are also way slower than standard today so I am thinking that the 2m4f Prix Du Cadran is going to be about 30 seconds slower than standard today. It is on at 4pm if anyone wants to watch a race that is probably going to make the Cheltenham Bumper look like the Flying Childers.

I think Nass would be proud of that analysis uncle. Well done <applause>

Princess Zoe, what an absolute machine. Shame they wont go over hurdles now as the mares novice would be a gimmie.

90+6
Useless twats should be ****ing ashamed

****ing own goal after 54-mins to give the Owls the lead, then, lo and behold, a Mr. Macauley Bonne equalised in 90+6-mins. Bonne apparently was only signed (on a 3-year deal) from Charlton yesterday, 2nd October! Frankly, I'd never heard of him, but he gets the coveted SwanHills "Order Of Merit Weekly Tuck Box". :emoticon-0166-cake: <bubbly> <ale>

Oh boy, really. :(
