Bonne is a good signing, not cheap but should be a good addition.
If BOS signs a new deal then this will surely be a positive window despite losing Eze which was frankly inevitable.
I would take the £2m figure reported with a very large pinch of salt.
I’m still struggling to understand why he turned down a move the Club Bruges where he would be playing in the group stage of the Champions League this season. Even if he’s after a big pay packet in the PL, that would have been a much better shop window for him, and said something more about his character and ambition.
Let’s hope he signs, tears up this league this season, and we sell him for a shedload next summer.
Ivan Toney went to Brentford for 15 mill ... however 10 mill of that is apparently add ons!
I think you’re right about the £2m.Yeah. The only way that deal is £2m is if 500k is up front, 500k is spread across three years and the rest is performance related - 50 goals, 100 appearances etc etc
You must log in or register to see media£2m
I have heard that before with Clint Hill/Derry and even the lad from Bristol City. Just frustrated fans I guess. That's the complimentary tweet. Charlton fans all over the place saying we've been mugged off...
Let's just hope it's cos they're bitter
Charlton Athletic
On 17 June 2019, Bonne signed for Charlton Athletic on a three-year deal.[44] In the forwards' pecking order, Bonne was fourth behind Lyle Taylor, Tomer Hemed and Jonathan Leko, who joined during the same transfer window as Bonne and was previously deployed as a right winger. Charlton manager Lee Bowyer used two forwards most of the time, and when Taylor got injured during an international break with Montserrat national team and Hemed was struggling with minor injuries, Bonne was given his first start in Championship in gameweek 9 in a home match against Leeds United, in which he scored the only goal. He didn't hit the net against Swansea next gameweek, but in the next four matches he scored one goal each.
