second bottom, cant score, cant defend, cant hold on to a lead, i predicted we'd lose today and as it was at the fortress the den thats even more of a concern. yes weve played 10 games but remember preston and sheff utd were stuck down there all season before being relegated. with players kennys brought in that cant even get in their own teams ie , n'guessan ( leicester) simpson (hull) howard (reading) and a midfield not contributing, this is kennys first real test of his management skills. the money hes spent isnt paying dividends , particulary when hungrier playes like le fondre and rhodes could have been a better bet, ive still got the faith in jackett for what hes done for us as you dont become a bad manager overnight but hes got to find the solution up front pretty quick as we have middlesborough, brighton ,leicester up next and you cant see us taking a lot from those. so forget the playoffs and think survival this season.... thoughts

I obviously trust KJ's managerial skills after the last couple of years but I can't figure out what the hell he's thinking on some of his decisions.
First off, Jimmy has been our best player this season, with Bouazza second.... but now this 'Howard' guy from Reading comes in and gets Jimmy's place straight off, and Bouazza is an impact sub?
How about the lineup today, we didn't field a right back. Dunne was fit, and on the bench? What the hell?

And in recent games like a couple weeks ago when we played 5-4-1 at home, with 2 right backs, 2 left backs and a centre back? It seems Kenny doesn't know what to do, and the last time I saw so many rotations and players out of position it was Mark McGhee's last few games.

Kenny needs to sort it and fast. His signings I think, although not being ambitious in promotion, should be enough to keep us comfortable in mid table - N'Guessen has looked good, Simpson needs to find the scoring touch and should be decent. but Kenny needs to get them playing football.

Let's not kid ourselves, the squad we finished with last season was stronger than we have now. We no longer have Moro, Schofield, Andros, Harris and have poor to average replacements at best. Promises to improve the squad were made early but as weeks past by and still nothing or missed out on a target I did become concerned but did think at least one big signing would happen and a decent prem loanee, but no, panic signings and loans has left us where we are. Simpson isn't good enough and Henderson was bound to get injured given his record and age.

The team is the sum total of its players and the blatant fact is we don't have a strong squad. Although KJ says 'we need to do more going forward' how exactly when the players to carry that out aren't realistically going to acheive that? We over achieved last season but in a big way due to Puncheon and Andros as well as Moro of course and Schofield gave us creativity and goals too. We haven't and don't look likely to replace anyone from the sound bites coming from the manager.

Can't see us getting out of this mess without decent loan signings so the board have to back KJ and allow some money or let us stay here while morale and attendances (revenue) falls and it becomes increasingly difficult to get points to climb the table.

Looking ****in grim. You can only support the management up to a point. I believe in Kenny and don't doubt his skills as a manager BUT he's ****ed up big style. Morison, ok he wanted to go so nothing to do about that.... but Bomber? 2 million for Morison and who we got up front?
I think that Kenny's got up to xmas, if it's not sorted by then it'll be time to think about a replacement. **** going back to L1.

maybe bomber harris would of cheshire but i dont think long term with his form would have been the solution, seems we can only get players from other teams who cant get in there own sides unlike leeds etc who have the spending power which shows more in this leaque than in league one which puts us as a smaller club financially at a disavantage.

I know Harris is well past his prime, but until Morison had been replaced by someone who knows where the net is.?
Harris has watched your back,so to speak for years.Would of stopped any slacking off as well.

Getting rid of KJ would be the worst possible reaction to our current form, he's worked wonders at the club and is the longest serving manager in the Championship. The players need to sort themselves out as the majority of them were part of the team that got promoted so should want to avoid ruining all the hard work of getting out of league 1 ( 4 years! ).

Yes we should have got a proper striker such as Rhodes or Le Fondre but perhaps they didn't want to join.

Anyway trying a new manager will not work imo and we will go through 4 or 5 in a few years and be **** again like before we got KJ.

MFC...we've got 3 months till the xmas fixture list. I'm a great fan of KJ but you have to admit that he got rid of our 2 goal scorers and didn't replace them with anyone.

I still believe he can turn it around and that we'll be mid table at xmas, but if not what do we do?

Not sure KJ had much choice with Morison leaving but should have kept Harris. I guess he couldn't guarantee him regular football and he didn't want to sit on the bench. Laughable now as he would be 1st name on the sheet at the moment.

I agree that we should get out of this mess by xmas but if not who's going to be the man to come in and fix it? I don't see someone else turning it around if we're still in the relegation zone and would suggest JB spends big on a decent striker as goals will keep us up. If Hendo could stay fit that would probably be sufficient as we look ****ing awful without him in the team.

We're mentioning Harris should have been kept, I think this was another one like the Morro deal. Neil knew after last season he would not be first choice upfront and he wanted to play so Southend came in, hometown club etc and he was willing to drop the leagues to play. So in that case I don't think we had a chance of keeping either to be brutally honest, I really hope this loan striker is someone who isn't known for the fact they'll want to prove themselves and make their name heard. Or someone who we know can bag 10-15 goals at least <ok>

It was inevitable that Morison was going to be sold during the Summer but we all expected the money received to be spent on some quality signings to strengthen the team. This hasn't happened and now we are a much weaker team because we have lost our leading goalscorer from the last two seasons without even replacing him and the other signings we have made are no better than some of the players we released. Rhodes was out of our price range but I am sure we could have got Le Fondre earlier in the Summer if KJ had been interested in him. He even tried to sign Ryan Taylor who also played for Rotherham with a record of 20 goals in a 100 games for them. I am pleased to say that we were gazumped by Bristol City and I don't think he can even get into their first eleven. This is an example Of Kj's negativity where forwards are concerned. He keeps saying we must do more going forward but plays 4-5-1 in Home games. Where does he expect the goals to come from? Lets go back to a 4-4-2 formation and try to play a settled team for a few games in the hope that they will build up some sort of understanding. At the moment we are chopping and changing formation and players every game and using players out of their normal positions. Until we get some sort of consistency we will never start winning again and League 1 here we come.
