Just read up on it, Matt Hancock said we have 30 million doses available, looks like boots didn't order enough, for their share as many more are taking it up this year, they only ordered 20% extra, Doctors seem to still have plenty, although we were on the normal list anyway, so might be harder to get if your a new patient. Probably won't even have a flu season this year, as no flights from Aussie to bring it in.

Thank fook we're no longer in the championship, playing Millwall this week, don't think I could take them all crying holding their arms.

Hey I've come up with a neat idea, why don't we start a thread where we can talk about coronavirus and the implications and then as a devious ploy just talk about football instead?

Your second wave appears as though it's coming to a town near you

Any chance you could post the graphs showing hospital admissions and numbers in intensive care please Eric ?

Obviously could look for them myself but you seem to have a particular talent in this area :emoticon-0139-bow::emoticon-0139-bow:<ok>

Many thanks Eric, that is certainly a second wave.

Hope you guys manage to keep it under control as the falling numbers indicate.

Do you have any figures for the UK please ?

The second wave was largely confined to Victoria and in particular Melbourne. There are still strict limits in place preventing you leaving your house in Melbourne for all but essential reasons and a curfew between 9.00pm and 5.00am. Hopefully now the numbers and low, less than 30 new cases a day and in particular the track and trace system is working effectively some of these restrictions can be eased progressively so a normal Christmas can be had. It does seem strange, from this distance, that a limit on when one can go to the pub is going to reduce community transmission substantially in the UK, I hope it does.

Don't think much thought goes into it these days.

    Apologies for any inaccuracies-
    Rules in England-
    Masks more widely used
rule of 6 (some good exceptions like sport outdoors)
    10pm curfews
work from home when you can again (I never went back!)

No idea what a local lockdown is anymore. Probably something to do with households, but again there's probably "bubble" exceptions.

Trust me, there are not 30 million available for the under 65s. The companies making it are telling pharmacists November. Most community chemists have used up the stock they were allocated for October. I guess doctor surgeries are okay at the minute as it’s probably by appointment rather than walk in. I think there are 4 suppliers and they can’t keep up. Tons of it have been brought by large companies who are vaccinating their own staff. My son in law who works for St Gobain has got to travel up to Leeds for his as they’re doing it in house. Those already booked in or who are over 65 are fine, under 65 and hoping for a walk in appointment at a pharmacy might struggle before November

To be quite honest I didn’t feel a thing beginning to think I have missed out
Anyway I have felt no after effects but decided to take nurses advice and have a few glasses as a precautionary measure

We're about to enter local lockdown in North Wales and basically it means my daughters can go to school and college, but can't go and visit their grandparents for my dad's birthday on Friday, although we could all go to the pub and shout across the room to each other if we so wished ;)

However if we were in my parent's garden and a group of axe wielding zombies tried to attack us, then we have permission to enter my parent's house and party, so we are keeping our fingers crossed for a zombie apocalypse on Friday :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Below is basically the restrictions we have to follow, together with exceptions

Under the restrictions no-one can leave or enter a lockdown area except for a limited set of reasons, including:
      • to work, if you cannot work from home
      • to provide care
      • travelling to education
      • elite athletic training and competitions
      • to provide or receive emergency assistance
      • to meet a legal obligation, and to access or receive public services
      • to avoid injury or illness or escape a risk of harm
It is permitted to travel through the areas concerned, so motorists can continue to use the A55 to get to or out of Gwynedd and Anglesey.

Rules allowing people to meet extended households are suspended, meaning people can only be with their usual household when indoors, including in pubs and restaurants.

Other Wales-wide restrictions apply, including the wearing of face masks in shops.
