same as george floyd in fact every one they take the knee for is an habitual criminal but the Main stream media try their best to keep it quiet like the channel crossings 56 boats this weekend alone

Hardly an argument for legalising guns, mate. Shootings are wide spread in every state over there. Not many disgruntled employees up north walking into offices and opening fire or stabbing every ****er.

    1. The police are inept to the point that serious crimes aren't properly investigated, the government are corrupt, and criminals abound on the streets of modern Britain
    2. People shouldn't be allowed to own guns as a means of self-defence

Imagine being so dumb that you think those two points are reconcilable opinions

yet we have strict gun laws here but criminals can still get guns easy the general public not.im not arguing for legalising guns either. but if i lived in America i would want to be armed, do you know how many house burglaries there are, and most end up with the occupier dead if they do not hand over their hard earned cash. In america its robbers beware as it's not illegal to shoot them dead,<ok>

I’m quietly confident that if guns weren’t legal in the US then those house robbers wouldn’t carry a gun 99% of the time, like over here. I don’t feel like I need a gun to protect myself from house burglars.

Guns are not readily available to criminals in the UK and certainly not up here in the north east. That’s a myth.

Nah, I live and breathe this place. I’m telling you guns are not readily available up here. Your average two bob council estate drug dealer wouldn’t be able to get hold of one. I’m not saying they aren’t in circulation, but up here it’s only for the major criminals. You can’t just ask for one and have one served up to you no matter who you are.

my mates son is a copper with a special squad, the Albanians are all armed ,most of the ones arriving by dinghy ditch the boat and do a runner because they are packing, they don't need gov handouts they have a lucrative deal with their peers . i agree with you two bob criminals don't have them they cant afford them, but they are not my concern, if they cant afford them they use knives, hence my statement earlier if they cant get hold of guns they use knives it's not the weapons it's the dicks who want to use them

Don't agree with this like. I left Shields as folk were getting shot and killed and that was the 1990's. Even today, and I am by no means a criminal, if I had the cash I could get a firearm within the week, no problem. It's nowhere near the scale of the USA like but it's not that hard to get a gun over here.

Yeah I know about them shootings in Shields. Our family home was bust in 1990 as my parents were keeping a sawn-off under the bed for my brother who was high up with the boss gang. I’ve seen with my own eyes lads getting knocked back for guns. Nobody wants to sell a gun to somebody they don’t know or trust, as stupid as it sounds but practically every major criminal I’ve known had morals about that and putting them in general circulation. Not many arseholes about like the person you know willing to sell you one.

If guns were as easy to get as you guys are saying the north east would have turned into the ok corral a long long time ago.

Can't speak to the north east but I know for a fact it was an absolute ball ache trying to get your hands on a gun in Birmingham.

It took an entire production and the lads would end up with a modified starter pistol that was more likely to explode in your hand than fire a shot.

I'm sure there were guns about but it really wasn't as widespread as rumours would have it.

I’ll relent a bit here because I moved home and changed my life around years ago, things might have changed in that respect but I still can’t imagine it’s easy for anybody to get one up here unless they’re seriously connected.

No offence but that last sentence is ridiculous. You can buy guns from the supermarket in the states and it isn't the wild west over there, no matter how the media want to present it. I do agree that criminals aren't likely to sell or hire a gun to a numpty. Not because of any kind of moral code, after all, we're talking about folk who shoot other folk, but because of blow back. Numpty gets caught with a gun is highly likely to grass up the person who provided it so it's a simple act of arse covering, nowt to do with morals.

And they don't come cheap either so it's out the price range of most of your numpty heads as well as carrying big sentences, which again puts off the numpty head. And it's a bit weird seeing someone who had a family member running around with the boss lads saying guns are hard to get as they had more than a few. ****, even I saw lads back then with firearms and I had, and still have zero intention of being anywhere near firearms.
