saw a comment on bbc live scores "tevez not fit to wear the city shirt". had to laugh,. wasnt that long ago city were playing gillingham and stockport. and struggling too. i reckon hes more than fit to wear the city shirt, cracking player, seems whoever wrote it has a VERY short memory and all of a sudden thinks hes supporting real madrid.

when city have a history of success, THATS when you can say that a world class player is not fit to wear the shirt. till then, be grateful that some kind foreign oil sheik has decided to have fun with a football club, and keep some dignity.

  2. No one doubts his talent. I think what is being said, is that Tevez should no longer be entitled to wear the City shirt because he was disrespected the club, the manager and its fans. They are talking directly about the "pride" of City having been damaged.

Of course, what is being ignored in all of this is the fact that City only has Tevez because it has thrown an obscene amount of money at football. They are like the chav guest at a High Society wedding, resplendent in Burberry and gold bling, amidst the subtle finery of the landed guests, gobbing-off in drunken, pikie accents during the Best Man's speech. Such people have no concept of the word "pride."

So, to the OP, I agree with you, but for a different reason. Tevez is fit to wear the City shirt, because he's as much a pikie as the rest of them <ok>

  3. Also, has anyone else read about this, in The Daily Mirror?

"Roberto Mancini's own son has reportedly "done a Carlos Tevez" by refusing to go on as a substitute for Manchester City's reserves."
(as reported this morning on the BBC Football gossip pages)

I can see this getting out of control, very quickly.
