Yeah he's good, and I think definitely England potential going forward, but it proves that players are picked on the club, not form. ****ing joke. If he had been in Fulham or West Brom's team, he wouldn't be in the England squad. Christ, if he played for us in PL on the regular he wouldn't get called up, considering we seemingly weren't allowed an England callup despite Davies, Huddlestone, Livermore, etc.
****ing state of the starting XI too - 3cbs with two holding mids. So uninspiring. What does Grealish have to ****ing do? How is Pickford still first choice? Trippier at LB? You'd think Southgate would ****ing try to be more positive after the Iceland game. I'm getting a little concerned about these choices after what has been a great time watching England, but since the World Cup he's been getting slowly more baffling in his tactical choices and callups.
