Name me a top manager who doesn’t get like that when things don’t go their way
It's a valid tactic of Jose's mate, he makes controversial statements/interviews and takes the spotlight off the team/players. He has always done it and it always works.

EDIT......jumped in without reading and thought the convo was about Jose, still fits with Pep though (and SAF for that matter), it's what top managers do.

Gosh.It doesn't stop does it. Now Chelsea after another goalie. Who is literally paying for all this? ....and should the PL for next season be given to Chelsea now and stop wasting the fans time?

They're lucky in that in the early days where Roman pumped in the money before FFP came into play they’ve been in a pretty self sufficient position in recent years because they’re able to sell players at high prices which therefore allows them to buy at high prices.

Last summer they sold Hazard for a rumoured total fee of £140m and this summer Atlético paid the obligatory purchase fee from the Morata loan which is about £50m. They’ve also sold a bunch of fringe players over the last 12 months too that’s probably netted them a combined £30m. So give or take they’ve had around £220m to splash over the last 12 months combined. They signed Kovacic permanently last season for £40m and then this season, the signings of Ziyech, Chilwell, Werner and Havertz have equalled to roughly £210m. So in the past 12 months they‘ve only got about a £30m net spend.

I know you said 12 months but 18 months ago they paid £58 mill for Pulisic and the year before spent £70 mill on a Kepa and £15 mill on Barkley so despite not spending one summer due to a ban they have never really stopped spending huge sums.

Do you think,if I ask nicely, they could send me one of their spare millions.I have a few things to do before I leave.....?

Actually net spend over the last three seasons (so including our barren windows) is quite surprising.....

Man Utd 202m
Arsenal 191m
Man City 151m
Tottenham 129m
Chelsea 118m
Everton 111m
Liverpool 94m

But where did we get the money from Bobby?
Everyone knows we dont generate cash.
All our season tickets are free and Chelsea TV costs nothing.
All our merch is given away and we refuse all the TV rights money we get given, we donate it to Oxfam.
Our Yokomana Tyre deal...well, we were paid in tyres! Everyone got some new tyres on their car.
