Exciting times at The Bridge ! Hard to get too excited with this covid ****e going on, but it has to be said we are assembling a powerful looking squad. Even though Frank is aware he is going to be under massive pressure now to at least compete strongly with City and Pool, we shouldn't be surprised at any of this. He was a winner throughout his career and i'm sure he believes he can do it as a manager as well. Remember him going ballistic when Villas Boas was throwing in the towel because we were 8 points behind with a third of a season left. We're putting down a marker for the new season and Roman means business !!!

Frank has identified our weaknesses and is dealing with them.Defenders are more difficult to find than attackers, but he has done good business with who is available and the market prices. Actually, Marina is a big part of the decision making of course, so it's a team effort. If we manage to move on those players no longer needed, then our spending over the last 2 seasons will not be much different to our main rivals. We just had to do it all in half the timeframe.
Assuming Havertz does eventually show up,( just got the news he has officially signed ) we have an amazing, young extremely talented attacking 1st team with potentially just as good bench or rotation players to come in, and most importantly, little to no need to recruit attackers next season. Then we can find the equivalent defenders.
I hope expectations are not to challenge Liverpool or City for top spot, but to really close the gap and sit in the box seat for the next season. By then both City , Liverpool and probably United will need serious recruitment themselves, and we can get the jump on them with a stable and improving team.

Going to be an interesting season.I can't see pool winning it again, will there be a surprise?
Think us and the goons will do well.

If we get a top class keeper in, i think we will go very close !
I think if Frank and Kepa can sort out a better working relationship, that Kepa may get back to the form that we bought him for. He was playing all season behind a shambles of a defence, there must be some hope that if the revamped defence steps up, Kepa can too.

Havertz at the supposed price of 74 million ...ish looks a bargain against Jadon Sanchos' asking price of 108Mill. No wonder Man U are balking at that price, so would I. Let him stay where he is for another year and see how much he's worth.
In fact 74 mill looks a bargain compared to most of the previous years prices for any players.
I think we got a bargain.
