What's your hopes and expectations for your club this season? We all have dreams which are normally a tad optimistic, so when being more realistic how do you think you'll fare?

Mine for the mighty Saints:

Hopes - To win a cup and get relegated, otherwise known as doing a Wigan.

Expectation - About 10th if Ings stays fit, 15th or so if he doesn't.

Hope - if we dont sell anyone and sign one or two more, stay up and try keep the pace with everyone else. Hopefully fight for top half.

Expectations - Unfortunately, relegation is highly likely for us.

Win the prem and champions league.

Jones captains the U23's to one of the cups.

Top of the table by 18pts in December <whistle>

So not much<laugh>

Hopes: Great start to the season and challenging for a Europa Cup place.

Expectations: Bored sick of it after a 0-0 at home to Brighton in mid September, in which we had 37% possession and a total of two shots, with one on target.

Hopes; get inside a football ground before Christmas

Expectations; totally lose interest in watching televised games in empty stadia, **** football off completely and go horse racing instead.

At my clubs level, when you only had something like seven players left on the books, due to the coronavirus, and you fill the holes with loans, not sure you can really have an expectation of your club.

My thoughts were, relegation in the coming season would be better than financial ruin.

Evans had some how managed to obtain the services of three players from Arsenal & Spurs youngsters, one I think we've already sent back injured <laugh>

Oh well as per the OP title, we all live in hope.

A 3rd trip to Wembley in a row, not that anyone will notice.

"Moths and all sorts of ugly creatures hover about a lighted candle. Can the candle help it?"

Tell Kenny Jackett, NO!... he can't have Hanlan, we only had 7 full timers, leave it out <laugh>

Hopes - continued growth as a club, as we have each year since King Power came on the scene. Can't wait to see the new training facilities up and running sometime soon. Huge statement of intent for the future.

Would love a good run in the cups and the Europa and to be top 6 competitive again. If we get better luck with injuries then we might just do that.

Expectations - that the league will be even tougher this season, so achieving the hopes will be a big ask - but I remain optimistic.
